
Speaking at the seminar, the Longleng superintendent of police, Dr. Pritpal Kaur Betra, has highlighted on traffic etiquettes, Motor Vehicle Act 1988, requirement of documents, following traffic rules, not using mobile/ drinking alcohol while driving etc. She advised the drivers to drive vehicle responsibly and follow the traffic rules, stated a DIPR report.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]The sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) of Longleng, I Bunglang Chang, spoke on traffic offence (MV Act 1988), while ASI and in-charge of traffic cell, Limatemjen, spoke on traffic rules and signs and Dr. Waulong Phom from District Hospital Longleng demonstrated on first aid.
The programme was attended by the District Drivers Union Longleng, Taxi Union Longleng, representatives from all the wards, drivers, students, police personnel and Medical department.
The programm was followed with free medical checkup by the doctors and nurses of District Hospital Longleng. Report stated that helmets were also given away to the bike riders.
