Longleng district organises workshop on Suman

Dimapur, Dec. 8 (EMN): The Longleng district health society organised a one-day district level workshop on Surakshit Matritva Aawasan (Suman) in the office chamber of the medical superintendent, Longleng, on December 8.

An update from the office of the chief medical officer (CMO), Longleng, stated that Dr. Imnameren Phom, DPO (RCH/UIP), made a power point presentation on Suman, where he spoke on the vision, goal, objectives, attributes of a Suman compliant facility, benefit of the scheme, broad pillars of the initiative, Suman service guarantee packages, entitlements under the scheme, notification of facilities under Suman, quality assurance under Suman, grievance redressal, maternal death reporting under Suman, and community engagement under Suman.

It also stated that Dr. Sungtiben Amlari, DPM (QA), gave a presentation on facility assessment checklist, while Dr. Ademla Tinu, Obst & Gynae of District Hospital Longleng, spoke on Laqshya programme, certification status, bottlenecks pertaining to specific check points, action points, and Laqshya monthly indicators. 

It further stated that short speeches were delivered by the deputy commissioner and chairman of the district-level committee for Suman, Longleng, M Shayung Phom, and Dr Obangjungla, CMO as well as member secretary and convenor for Suman. It added that the workshop was attended by all the members of district-level Suman committee.
