Longleng district administration restricts vehicular movement on National Highway-702

The district administration of Longleng has issued a traffic advisory relating to all kinds of vehicles, including light motor vehicles on the Changtongya-Longleng road.

DIMAPUR — The district administration of Longleng has issued a traffic advisory, restricting the movement of all kinds of vehicles, including light motor vehicles on the Changtongya-Longleng road, National Highway-702 (NH-702), in view of continuous rockfall, mudflow and landslides at several locations along the stretch.

The Changtongya-Longleng road along the NH-702 will be closed to traffic from 6 pm on August 12, to 6 am on August 14, according to the travel advisory.

Travellers have been asked to take the alternate route, i.e., Longleng-Chingtok (IR Camp)-Merangkong-Netnyu during the restricted period.
