Lokayukta meets with administrators

Dimapur, March 28 (EMN): Justice Uma Nath Singh, Lokayukta for Nagaland, convened a meeting with the chief administrators of Dimapur district, on March 22 at the Circuit House, in Dimapur. The IPR stated in its updates on Thursday that Singh met with Dimapur’s Deputy Commissioner Kevekha Zehol, and police commissioner for zone-I Dr. Naieem Mustafa, who represented the commissioner of Dimapur Police. Upa Lokayukta-designate and former State Vigilance commissioner Mayang Lima also participated in the meeting as a ‘special invitee,’ the updates stated. During the meeting, the Lokayukta told the officers about conducting “Lokayukta awareness programmes” to educate the people about the Nagaland Lokayukta Act besides the functioning of the anti-corruption organisation. A programme to promote the Lokayukta platform has been scheduled to be held on April 15 in the deputy commissioner’s office at 12:00 noon. The deputy commissioner was requested to inform departmental heads, members of nongovernmental organisations, civil society and members of village councils besides the Gaon Bura to participate in the programme, the IPR stated.
