Lok Sabha polls 2024: Lok Jan Shakti Party (Ram Vilas) to contest lone seat in Nagaland
DIMAPUR — The Lok Jan Shakti Party (Ram Vilas), Nagaland state unit has unanimously resolved to field its candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha election in the state.
The decision was taken at a meeting held on Saturday “on the directive of the National Head Office in order to uphold the party ideology and its vision to the people of Nagaland”, said an update from LJP (RV).
“Subsequently the Party needs to maintain its identity and party principle and maintain its status quo. Moreover, at the confidence of the people of Nagaland, we would like to voice out the interest of the common Naga people,” it added.
The announcement came a day after Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) revealed its decision to contest the lone Lok Sabha seat in the state.
