Lok Sabha MP Supongmeren visits his native village
KOHIMA — Nagaland lone Lok Sabha MP, S Supongmeren Jamir, has expressed hope for peace and unity among the citizens of the state and assured his dedication and fairness in exercising his duties as a Member of Parliament.
Jamir made this statement during his visit to Longsa, his native village in the Mokokchung district, on July 9.
Jamir received a traditional welcome from the Longsa Village Council. He had just returned to the state after attending the inaugural session of the 18th Lok Sabha in Delhi. The Congress MP expressed his gratitude for the council’s support and their constant guidance throughout his career.
He was accompanied by Khriedi Theünuo, working president of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC), and party workers from both Kohima and Mokokchung districts.
Meanwhile, Theünuo has thanked the village council for their hospitality and encouraged the villagers to continue their support in the future.
The village council invoked blessings upon Jamir and wished him a successful and meaningful tenure.
