Lok Sabha MP Supongmeren selected to parliamentary committee

DIMAPUR — Lok Sabha MP from Nagaland S Supongmeren Jamir has been appointed as a member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Communications and Information Technology for the year 2024-25.

The 31-member committee (21 from Lok Sabha and 10 from Rajya Sabha) will be led by Dr. Nishikant Dubey as chairperson.

Following his appointment, the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee congratulated the MP and described him as a visionary leader whose commitment to the welfare of his constituents and the State “is truly commendable”.

“Since his election as MP, he has tirelessly worked on various initiatives to uplift and empower the people he represents. We are confident that his expertise and dedication will greatly contribute to the committee’s work, further advancing the interests of our community and enhancing the landscape of our state,” it stated in a message.
