DIMAPUR — Nagaland lone Lok Sabha MP, S Supongmeren Jamir, has greeted the people of Nagaland on the occasion of 78th Independence Day celebration and expressed hope that it would inspire everyone to work towards a brighter and more inclusive future for all.

He has honoured the courage, sacrifices and vision of the countless freedom fighters who fought for the sovereignty and unity of the motherland.

“India's journey over the past 78 years has been marked by remarkable achievements in various fields, from Science and Technology to Art and Culture and social progress, yet the spirit of our nation lies in our diversity, our resilience, and our unwavering commitment to democracy and justice,” Jamir said in his greetings.

He further called upon everyone to renew the pledge in upholding the principles that the country was founded upon namely freedom, equality, fraternity and secularism.

“Together we can overcome any challenges and continue to build a nation that reflects the dreams and aspirations of every Indian,” Jamir added.
