A press release from the DDLSA on Saturday stated that during the proceedings 29 cases which are related to Banks, BSNL, Motor Accident Claim Tribunal and Insurance claims had been settled. The updates informed that the Lok Adalat was inaugurated by the chairman of DDLSA Neiko Kanuo. The proceedings were carried out by presiding judges, conciliators, lawyers and para legal volunteers. According to the press release, Lok Adalat is meant for amicable settlement of cases based on the concept of conciliated settlement of disputes. The system of Lok Adalat is economical and justice delivery is quick and effective. The DDLSA expressed gratitude to the banks, conciliators, lawyers, and public for participating in the Lok Adalat, the updates stated.
