Dimapur, Dec. 5(EMN): ‘Naga Digital’, a new portal offering services including business, ecommerce and advertisement, was officially launched on Monday by Moatoshi Longkumer, MLA, at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur.

Temjen Jamir, one of the lead developers of Naga Digital informed that the proprietor of the portal is Temsu Jamir, and the lead developers are Ajung Lemtur, Temsu Jamir and Supong Jamir.

It may be mentioned that ‘Naga Digital’ won the first position during the Start-Up Nagaland Lockdown Challenge 2020, organised by Start-Up Nagaland, department of Industries & Commerce. Jamir said the portal was developed earlier in 2020 and after adding more services, they have finally launched it on Monday

He stated that they are group of like-minded youngsters coming together to bring a transformation and to make the society better with a vision of bringing people together under one platform, to be connected and to progress with the help of technology.

Sharing on how the journey started, he said during the Covid-19 pandemic, life had been difficult for many, especially the business community and daily wagers, and this led them to come up with a solution to bridge a gap between the business enterprises and consumers.

And so they came up with an Ecommerce App, website and delivery app together to connect buyers and sellers.

He updated that they have come up with three different websites: Naga business, Naga service and Nagaland ads, which will directly benefit everyone, especially local entrepreneurs, artists, Youtubers, influencers, students and unemployed youths.

Jamir maintained that they will not be charging anything but to let everyone earn and enjoy the services provided. However, owing to incurring expenses like office rentals, electricity bills, staff salaries etc, they have come up with a plan to charge a small fee from premium members only.

Moatoshi Longkumer congratulated the team and said the launching of the portal proves that the state is also moving forward with the rest of the world through technology.

He advised the team to be wary of the negative issues that come with the internet and to use technology for development of the society.
