LMSSOC: 3rd NAP Battalion and Genesis FC Tsg settle for a 1-1 draw

Dimapur, Oct. 28 (EMN): In Pool A encounter, 3rd NAP Battalion drew with Genesis FC Tuensang with the score-line 1-1 in the first match on Saturday. Both the goals came in the second half, Yunlongchu (jersey no. 7) of 3rd NAP Battalion netted the first goal in the 47th minute. After 5 minutes Lipesi (jersey no.13) equalised for Genesis FC Tsg and ended the match at 1-1. 3rd NAP Battalion are still without a win with three draws and 1 loss with only a match left to play whereas, it was the last league match for Genesis FC. Both the teams are virtually out of the quarter-final playoffs. In the second match of the day, Hongpong XI FC Haak secured a win against Mt. Pongen FC by 2-1 in Pool B encounter. The goal came through Temsu (jersey no.12) of Hongpong XI FC Haak in the 27th minute of the first half. In the 36th minute of second half Yemlongchaba (jersey no.7) leveled the score for Mt. Pongen FC. Finally Yemchumong (jersey no.11) scored the much needed winning goal for Hongpong XI FC Haak in the dying second and won the match 2-1 and Hongpong FC Haak now awaits the result of the Pool B last league match to be played between Scavenger Hunt FC and 40 AR on Tuesday for any chance of qualifying for the quarter-final playoffs.
