LMRVCCU directs govt. employees to be in station

DIMAPUR — Lotha Middle Range Village Council Chairmen Union (LMRVCCU) has resolved to request all the government employees within its jurisdiction to be in station and perform their assigned duties for the welfare and benefit of the public.

The resolution to this effect was taken during its meeting held on April 10 at IB Doyang Hydro Electric Project. The meeting was called to discuss various issues confronting the public, stated an update from the union president, R Thejamo Ovung, and the general secretary, Shanthungo Yanthan.

LMRVCCU officials also visited the ongoing road construction project under PMGSY—II from Sanis ‘O’ Point to Aitepyong end, where they met the SDO and JE of (R&B) Baghty division at the construction site and held a healthy discussion. It stated that the officials have assured to complete the carpeting works as per the specification of the DPR and insisted the contractor M/s Northeast Enterprises NPW (Class-I/ 378 Dimapur), Nagaland, to complete the work before the onset of rainy season.

Meanwhile, the union also appealed to the executive engineer of PWD (R&B), Baghty division and the higher authority to release the pending salary of its work charged employees, which has been withheld for many months.
