DIMAPUR — Little Star Hr. Sec. School, Dimapur, won the Nagaland State-Level Science Drama Competition (SLSDC) 2023 held at Innovation Hub, Nagaland Science Centre, Dimapur, on the theme ‘Science and technology for the benefit of mankind,’ on Friday.
The school will now represent the state at the zonal level - the North-East Zone Science Drama Competition - which is scheduled to be held on November 24 at Regional Science Centre, Guwahati, an update informed.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]The SLSDC-2023 event was graced by Bendang Walling, artistic director of Hill Theatre, Nagaland, and an alumni of National School of Drama, New Delhi, as the special guest and chief judge.
Science drama competition is an annual event, which is organised across the country, with a primary aim to showcase juvenile artistic creativity and to use the medium of drama as a potent tool for dealing with socio-scientific issues of current importance in the society.
The competition begins at the state level, followed by the regional level and ultimately culminates at the national level, i.e. the National Science Drama Festival (NSDF), which is organised and managed by the National Council of Science Museums.
The Nagaland SLSDC is sponsored and organised by the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of Nagaland.
