DIMAPUR —Little Flower Hr. Sec. School, Kohima, organised a tree plantation and cleanliness drive on Saturday simultaneously in two locations in Kohima—Sokhriezie Park and the school campus.

According to a press release, 50 students (NSS volunteers) along with six teachers, comprising two NSS POs and four others, under the guidance of the principal, Sister Lucy Thomas, conducted the cleanliness drive at Sokhriezie Park. Additionally, 136 students, under the guidance of Sister Superior Adaphro Rosemary, four sisters, and eight teachers, participated in the tree plantation and cleanliness drive within and around the school campus.

Both events were attended by Chisayi, Divisional Forest Officer of the Nagaland Forest Department, Kohima, who interacted with the participants and spoke on the theme of World Environment Day 2024, which is 'Land restoration, desertification, and drought resilience’.

He briefed the students on topics such as water conservation, energy conservation, and more, encouraging them to become environmental ambassadors.
