Literary competitions held in Tuensang

Students participate in the competitions held at Bethesda School in Tuensang town on November 20.

Dimapur, Nov. 20 (EMN): Tuensang District Health Society (DHS) conducted an essay writing, slogan and painting competition on the topics “Importance of iodine deficiency’’ at Bethesda School in Tuensang town on November 20.

Prior to the competition, a short programme was held in which GNM of urban public health centre (UPHC) Chongjop highlighted the importance of iodine deficiency. She briefed on the iodine, functions, disorders, excessive, decreased and salt preservation.

The students were also advised to follow the SOP of Covid-19 both outside and inside the classroom to protect and prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

An update from the office of the chief medical officer (CMO), Tuensang, a total of 45 students participated in the competition. It added that the best three winners were awarded with cash prizes in all categories, while consolation prizes were also given to 10 participants.
