Dimapur, May 4 (EMN): Lirmen village celebrated Moatsü festival on May 2, with EE Irrigation & Flood Control of Mokokchung, Er. Lanu Longchar as chief guest.
On the occasion, Temjenlemba, cartographist highlighted the significance of Moatsü while P.Meren Longkumer (Retd) SDEO , exhorted the gathering.
The programme was chaired by Kr. Watila Longkumer, pastor LBC, invoked God’s blessing, welcome speech was delivered by Lirmen VCM chairman, T. Kirem.
Other highlights of the programme included traditional song by Lirmen Watsu Telen Lirmen Pati and Olangoin, folk dances were performed by Nokpu Village Council, Yajang C Village Council, Akumen Village Arju and Lirmen Students Conference. Special number was presented by Sashi & Asen and Takumtsu Ayong. Tug of war and bamboo climbing also marked the celebration.
