Dimapur, Sep. 29 (EMN): A total of 62 cases of rum and a large quantity of empty plastic bottles were seized by the 5th Assam Riffles from 5th Mile in Dimapur on Tuesday morning, sparking off rumours that another bottling plant had been busted.

This was informed by the officer in-charge (OC) of Diphupar Police Station.

“It was not an illegal bottling plant that was seized (sic) as some are saying but cases of alcohol were found, not machineries as such for bottling or manufacturing alcohol,” the OC told Eastern Mirror.

The OC informed that the empty plastic bottles were meant for a water distillery. He further informed that a person has been arrested and a case registered.
