(EM Images)[/caption] Our Correspondent Mokokchung, June 30 (EMN): A police officer was manhandled by a mob during a liquor raid in a warehouse at Tongdentsuyong ward in Mokokchung town on Saturday. It was reported that the mob questioned the police about how the liquor had passed through the well-manned police check gate and ‘caught’ after reaching the town. An altercation reportedly started after the police loaded the seized liquor onto an official vehicle and two other private vehicles, it was informed. A source said that a police officer was manhandled by the mob which led the cops to retaliate with a baton charge against the mob. However, the situation was defused with the intervention of the district administration and nongovernmental leaders, it was said. 888 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor was seized by the police.
