Limakumzuk scores hat-trick to place Nagaland Police in semis

Correspondent Kohima, October 14 It was the day for scoring maniac, Limakumzuk as he contributed another hat-trick to place Nagaland Police in the semi-finals of the ongoing students’ memorial soccer tournament organised by Angami Students’ Union at Kohima Local Ground.Playing the third quarter final match, the former champions – Nagaland Police defeated Orion Football Club by a huge 5 goals to nil with Limakumzuk’s hat-trick and Saku’s double. During the first 30 minutes, the cops made continued efforts to break the lock through Vizorü, Ninja, Saku, Limakumzuk and Lamdong but failed to capitalize any of the shots while in the 18th minute Orion FC got their single chance but Mhao Thong’s feeble shot went straight into custodian Vizovor’s safe hands. Nonetheless, it was Saku opening the flood gates for the cops in the 31st minute followed by Limakumzuk netting the second and third goals in the 38th and 41st minute of play. After the lemon break, Limakumzuk scored his hat-trick and fourth for the team in the 53rd minute while Saku sealed the score board with the fifth in the 60th minute. Scoring the hat-trick, Limakumzuk is placed as the highest scorer of the tourney so far with a total of 13 goals and was also adjudged the player of the match. Hoobs S Thonger, PS to Parliamentary Secretary for Power gave away the award as the match patron of the day.
