Lhomithi SC reigned over Mavericks CC to be the champion of the 18th edition Winter Cricket Challenge, organised by Senior Noble Klan, played at Local Ground Wokha.In a closely fought final match, Mavericks CC won the toss and opting to bat first, set up a victory target of 122 runs losing 5 wicket, with a solid 42 run (not out) from Santsuthung, he was accompanied by Renjanthung 11 runs and Nchumthung 11 runs. Hanan, Tony, Badal, Watinungsang and santosh claimed a wicket each.
Lhomithi SC reached the target in the 20th over of the inning losing 7 wickets, with man of the match Raj Hussian making 46 runs and Badal Das making 19 runs. For Mavericks CC, Aphamo Claimed 3 wickets, Shanchothung 2 wickets and Mharomo claimed 1 wicket.The closing ceremony was graced by Lokho Peter, Branch Manager, SBI, Wokha, who gave away the champion trophy.
