Lhisemia Youth Organisation (LYO) came from behind to beat Fraternity FC to advance to the quarters of the ongoing 21st Classic Tournament held at Kohima Local Ground.
Playing the first pre-quarter match of the tournament, LYO overcame their rivals in the tie-break by 7-6 after the match ended with 1-1 draw.
Earlier, Fraternity FC took the first lead in the 8th minute through Keneisetuo Kire, however, their celebration was short lived as Neizophrelie Mepfhüo of LYO netted the equalizer in the 24th minute.
In the second pre-quarterfinal match, Naga FC downed Hurricane Boys 3-0 to make it to the quarters.
Vimelie Chase opened the account for his team in 30th minute, followed by the second goal in the 39th minute through Rhitsho Mero.The third goal for Naga FC was netted by Keneisedelie Chütso in the 60th minute respectively.
Two players of Hurricane Boys Zhapuchütuo Chütso and Kezhazelie Kuotsu were penalized with yellow card for unsporting behavior.
