Open letter to Rastriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat on protection of minorities in India.

Honourable Sarsanghchalak,
I am an Angami Naga AIS Pensioner of more than eight and a half decades old, and see your organisation RSS--Rastriya Swayamsevak Sangh--an umbrella social and cultural Institution of India, based exclusively on the Hindu way of life, more than a Hindu Political Organisation not averse to principles of Democracy the country likes to be known as the biggest in the world, and last year overtook China from its position of the most populous country in the world.
Some of the greatest values of Democracy--Equality, Justice and Freedom of Religion--are universal to all human beings and enshrined in the constitution Preamble of India.
Not long ago, in December last year, at a Hindu Samelan in Sonpairi Village in Chhattisgarh, you declared a broad idea that “the entire country belongs to everyone” and surprisingly advised the people “not to look at the RSS with the political Eye of the BJP.”
Yet, the minority communities like Dalits, Christians and Muslims in India are arrogantly, unconscionably violently and helplessly maltreated by dominant Hindu organisation members strongly connected and emboldened by the image of your organisation everywhere in India as if the minorities do not belong to the country.
On 25th December 2025, Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, in spite of his busy official works, made a very welcome gesture of attending the Christmas celebration in a Church in Delhi, but elsewhere in other places of India, lawless groups strongly connected with the ruling power of the places vandalised Churches, roughed-up Church congregations in progress, broke up Church Services, as if they don’t care about the Prime Minister’s morally decent example.
I made it a point to read your speeches and reports in the newspapers, and have come to appreciate the depth of your knowledge and conscionable ethics, which emboldened me to write this open letter to request you to inform all group members under your organisations never to use violence on innocent unresisting people on pain of application of the Law and Order of the Government. I hope your communication necessarily would be highly honoured by all concerned.
Thank you, honourable Sarsanghchalak.
Yours sincerely,
Thepfulhouvi.
