Lepzungchiba Jamir becomes first Naga NBB life member

DIMAPUR — A thanksgiving programme in honour of Lepzungchiba Jamir, the first among Nagas to be inducted as a life member and category (A) corporate member of the National Bee Board (NBB), was held at Hotel Japfü in Kohima on Monday.

According to a DIPR report, Jamir expressed gratitude to God for the recognition and milestone in his speech. He stated that he was honoured to be a life member of NBB, representing the Nagaland Ecological and Sanitation Management Society.

He mentioned that this accomplishment is not solely his personal achievement but rather a testament to the collective efforts and support of many who remain behind the scenes.

It may be mentioned that the main objective of NBB is the overall development of beekeeping by promoting scientific beekeeping in India to increase the productivity of crops through pollination and increase honey production to augment the income of beekeepers and farmers.
