Dimapur, June 22 (EMN): Advisor of Youth Resources and Sports, Zale Neikha, and minister of Higher and Technical Education, Temjen Imna Along, called on the Union Minister of State (Independent charge) for Youth Affairs and Sports and Minister of State for Minority Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, at his official residence in New Delhi on June 22.
During the meeting, Er. Zale Neikha apprised the Union Minister regarding the visit of the Nagaland girls team under 15 category representing India at the 2019 Gothika Cup in Sweden from July 14 to 20. He also informed that the team would be participating in the Parade of Nations representing India during the opening ceremony on July 15.
The advisor also briefed on the ongoing sports and youth related activities in the State and referred on the development initiative under the “Aspirational District” programme for which the proposal would be put up shortly.
Recommending that the advisor has done commendable job, Temjen Imna Along, who is also the State BJP president, requested the Union Minister for guidance and support to Zale Neikha in taking the youth resources and sports to new heights.
It was learned that the Union Minister had assured to take up the proposal.
