Dimapur, Jan. 8 (EMN): The advisor for Irrigation & Flood Control and SIRD, Tovihoto Ayemi, on Mon. inaugurated a road at Haralu colony in Dimapur which was said to have funded by him. A press release issued to the media on Mon. informed about the event.
Speaking during a brief programme after inaugurating the road, Ayemi said that any development taking place ‘was a sign of able leadership of respective colonies, areas etc.’ He said that the ‘developments taking place also reflect unity within the community.’ He attributed the completion of the road to the leaders of Haralu colony.
Ayemi appealed to the citizens to work together in making Dimapur a peaceful place to live in. “Together, we can bring positive changes and development in our respective areas of influence. So let us join hands to make Dimapur progressive and a peaceful place to live in,” he said.
Also, the chairman of the Sumi Council of Dimapur, Kuhoi Zhimomi, also a resident of the colony, thanked the advisor for constructing the road and expressed gratitude of the residents to the legislator, the press release added.
GBs, Haralu Colony Council members, elders and Naga People’s Front workers attended the programme.
