Legend CMD lifts Altrura Open Football Tourney

EMN Dimapur, July 2 Legend CMD clinched the title of the 3rd Altrura Open Football Tournament after defeating its rival Medziphe Village YO in the final match played at Chümoukedima Town local Ground today , Legend CMD walked home with Rs.50,000, running Trophy and Medziphe Village YO received Rs.30,000 and Trophy. The nine days long tournament concluded today with Shri.K.Yamao konyak, BDO Chümoukedima Block of Rural department Govt. of Nagaland as the guest of honour and Er.SP Pillia,Dept. of Rural Dev.Chümoukedima Block as the special guest for the closing ceremony.The closing ceremony was led by Megosielie Kruse, president Altrura society, invocation from Ngusalhou Mero, pastor Seitheke Basa Baptist church, special number was presented by Vibeizono Khro and the vote of thanks was delivered by Nguvikolie, general secretary, Altrura society. Whereas, the organizing committee thanks all the participating teams, villagers, referees, well wishers, sponsors, medias, and leaders for the success of the tournament. Altogether, a total of 28 teams from different parts of Nagaland with 504 players participated the tournament under the theme ‘Goal for Peace’ this year.
