Dimapur, May 28 (EMN): The Nagaland state legal service Authority (NSLSA) has conducted induction programme for teacher in-charge and legal literacy club (LLC) of Dimapur District Legal Services Authority (DDLSA), Mon District Legal Services Authority (MDLSA) and Wokha District Legal Services Authority (WDLSA) on May 26. The legal authority updated on Sunday.
In Dimapur, Panel Lawyer Yanbemo Ngullie, spoke on effective method to establish legal literacy clubs and to ensure its performance while Panel Lawyer Sentimenla Tzudir shared on legal literacy clubs in community based engagement and its networking.
Member of LLC, MGM Hr. Sec. School, Srijana shared her experiences. She said that LLC is a very helpful for students as it helps them to know more about laws, thereby spreading the awareness of legal rights and protection, fundamental rights and duties.
Kevithuto Neikha, LLC member of Livingstone Hr .Sec. School shared that the club members not only learn about the awareness of their rights but also to exercise their rights and duties.
District & Sessions Judge Neiko Kanuo, who is also the chairman of DDLSA, summed up the training by saying that knowing law is very important for all.
In Mon, 40 students, two teacher-in-charges, and administrators from two schools attended the programme while in Wokha 78 students, teacher-in-charges from five schools participated.
Meanwhile, on the same day, LLC of Kohima College conducted cleanliness drive at college campus under the theme “Cleanliness for growth.”
Panel lawyer NSLSA and three panel lawyer from Kohima DLSA with members from LLC and in-charge joined for the cleanliness drive.
