P. J. Abdul Kalam. The Accreditation standard has been developed with a view to develop quality consciousness among interested parties involved in school activities, enhance their involvement and level of satisfaction related to the school educational services, and provide a basis for assessing the effectiveness of the school’s education management system, said Dr. Badlani.
Since there are wide variety of children in different locations, the specific needs and expectations of the students, parents and other regulatory bodies and interested people associated with the performance of school also vary from school to school, he reminded. However, Dr. Badlani said, all requirements of this standard are generic in nature and are intended to be applicable to all schools, regardless of type size and nature of educational service provided. The standard can be adapted as a self improvement tool, he added.
This programme suffices to the commitment of Andrew Ahoto Sema, Chairman of Livingstone Foundation to all interested parties that his students would turn out to be self learner, confident, well motivated with high human values and also to possess a comprehensive range of fundamental transferable skills, stated a press note made available to the media. The students would also be equipped to participate as citizen of a modern democratic society; to have the skills, aptitudes and adaptability required to contribute productively in the advancing economy; to be enterprising and also to have a clear regard for sustainability, the note added.
It may be mentioned here that Quality Council of India (QCI) is a non-profit autonomous body jointly set up by Government of India and Indian Industry, to establish and operate national accreditation structure and to promote quality through nation-wide quality campaign.
