Dimapur, August 1 (EMN): Two-day module on ‘Leadership skills’ for engineers, being organised by the Administrative Training Institute (ATI), , Kohima is underway, with resource persons from IBIS Solutions, Management & Training Consultations Group, Kolkata.
Speaking at the inaugural, additional director (Training), L. Youdang Jamir, welcomed the resource persons and participants. He lamented on the lack of quality leadership in the State and encouraged the participants to take the benefit of the programme being organised by the Institute.
Deputy chief engineer, NPWD, Longzochang, thanked the ATI for organising the programme and that the participants are looking forward to learning new things from the interaction with the resource persons.
Administrative head of IBIS Solutions, Rajib Bal, while introducing the course contents, mentioned that IBIS Solutions is associated with all the ATIs in the North East and also with PSUs like NEPCO.
The programme is being conducted towards achieving the guidelines prescribed in the State Training Policy. As per the guidelines, every department is required to develop Cadre Training Plans (CTP); training and development of competencies of individuals should be linked to their career progression and ensure this by suitably amending service rules/issuing administrative instructions.
The programme is being coordinated by deputy director, Er N. Moa Longkumer. The training programme is being organised for four batches starting with Engineers (August 1 and 2), for Doctors (August 4 and 5), NSS (August 7 to 8) and Principals and Headmasters (August 10 and11).
