DIMAPUR — Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Deputy Chief Minister (Home) Y Patton, and Rajya Sabha MP S Phangnon Konyak have extended warm greetings to the Khiamniungan community on the occasion of the Biam festival.
In a post on X on Wednesday, Rio wrote, “Warm greetings to our Khiamniungan brothers and sisters on the joyful occasion of Biam. As you celebrate this festival of gratitude for a bountiful harvest, may it strengthen family ties, foster community unity, and renew the spirit of togetherness.”
Patton conveyed his wishes that the celebrations bring peace and prosperity to the community. He also extended, on behalf of the state BJP legislators, his greetings for a joyous and momentous celebration.
Phangnon stated in her greetings that the festival symbolises togetherness, unity, peace, reconciliation, and thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest and blessings. She further wished that the Almighty God would bestow blessings of harmony and prosperity upon the Khiamniungan people.
