Dimapur, Sep. 29 (EMN): Power department informed that one 132kV tower of Dimapur-Kohima transmission line location No.116 along NH-29 at Pherima has been severely affected by landslide thereby posing grave danger to commuters and the public in around the affected area.
In this regard, the Power department has cautioned the public against going near the affected area till a permanent tower is constructed.
An update from the executive engineer of Dimapur transmission division stated that the affected tower has been taken down safely and the department is making all efforts to restore the line through temporary arrangements.
The department has further sought the cooperation of the public and to bear with the inconveniences till the transmission line is restored.
