Defending champion Lamkang Brothers made easy entry to semifinal to play against 164 Bn. Naga Regiment (T/A) in the first semifinal followed by Tribe Sewak V/s Molungyimsen Sports Association in the second semifinal on Friday 9:00 am in the ongoing 2nd DFoN Open Volley Championship at DDSC Stadium. Third and fourth place play-off would be held at 3:00 pm which would be graced by Tokuho Suhoi Neho, vice-president, NPF Central Office as match patron.
The final match will be played at 5:00 pm under flood lights. DC Dimapur Hushili Sema (IAS) would grace the closing function as guest of honour.
In 1st quarters Lamkang Brothers defeated Merangkong Youth Club 25-16, 25-21, in 2nd quarter Tribe Sewak defeated Unified Club 25-17, 25-18, in a closely contested 3rd quarters 164 Naga Regiment defeated Khelhoshe Memorial Club, VK Town 13-25, 25-22, 25-21, and in 4th quarters Lakhuni Sporting Club lost to Molungyimsen Sports Association 17-25, 19-25.
