KVKs across Nagaland districts hosted live webcasts of PM-KISAN’s 21st instalment release and held sessions on farming practices for local farmers.

DIMAPUR — Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) in Mokokchung, Tseminyu, Peren, Phek, Tuensang and Longleng organised live webcasts of the 21st instalment of the PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi on Wednesday, where the Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed farmers nationally and released INR 2,000 to eligible beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer, amounting to INR 18,000 crore for 9 crore farmers across the country.
According to updates, at KVK Mokokchung, sessions were held on natural farming by Tokiho Achumi, ACTO (agronomy), and on backyard poultry farming by Sarendi Walling, ACTO (animal science). A total of 102 farmers attended, followed by poultry distribution.
At Tseminyu, KVK Kohima conducted the PM-Kisan programme at the DC conference hall. Participants included officials, farmers, FPOs, women’s groups and PM-Kisan beneficiaries. Keneisezo Punyu, DAO, chaired the programme.

At Peren, ICAR-KVK Peren conducted a farmers' day-cum-21st instalment release programme at Jalukie town. Sessions were held on natural farming by Z James Kikon, CTO at KVK Peren, and vermicomposting entrepreneurship by Prashant Kalal, SMS-Fruit Science, KVK Peren.
At Phek, ICAR–KVK Phek conducted the webcast at the Porba campus. Sessions were led by Plabita Goswami, scientist (Veterinary Medicine); T Esther Longkumer, CTO (Soil Science); Hanna K Assangla; Manjunath KS, SMS (Horticulture); and Nukusa, who introduced the M-Anitra application. A total of 246 farmers attended.
At Tuensang, KVK Tuensang hosted the webcast with 202 participants, including farmers, youth, farm women and officials. An interactive discussion followed, during which farmers shared concerns on pests, rainfall, seed availability and advisory needs. KVK staff assured follow-up through training and technical interventions.
At Longleng, ICAR-KVK Longleng conducted the live broadcast coordinated by Pallabi Phukan, SMS (social science). A total of 77 beneficiaries attended. The KVK team briefed farmers on e-KYC, Aadhaar linkage and bank verification, and collected feedback regarding instalment-related issues.
