Dr. Prashant Kalal, SMS in Fruit Science and coordinator of the programme, provided demonstrations to farmers on nursery practices, including media preparation, sowing, watering, and the cultivation of various vegetables.

A total of 20 farmers participated in the event.

At Heningkunglwa, Dr. Patu K Zeliang, assistant CTO in Plant Breeding and Genetics, spoke on the theme of the NARI project and emphasised how farmers can collaborate with the KVK office for timely technical assistance and support, along with cultivation practices for important rabi vegetable crops.

Vegetable seeds (cabbage, cauliflower, carrot, French bean, coriander, radish, bottle gourd, and palak), along with tools, cocopeat, pro trays, and organic plant micronutrient specials, were distributed to various SHG members in both villages.
