Kuzhami Baptist Churches’ Association women convention concludes

Dimapur, Jan. 17 (EMN): The women ministry under the aegis of Kuzhami Baptist Churches’ Association (KBCA) held its 2nd women convention at Kuzhami Baptist Church in Chümoukedima from January 13 to the 15th.

The convention, held on the theme ‘Kewa loh Kelhi’ (Living in the Light), commenced with unfurling of flag by KBCA president, Ngupelhi Lomi, an update from KBCA stated.

It stated that a total of 320 delegates from Calvary Baptist Church, Pfutseromi Village Baptist Church, Lekromi Baptist Church, Kuzhami Chakhesang Baptist Church in Kohima, Kuzhami Baptist Church in Chümoukedima, Kuzhami Baptist Fellowship in Diphupar, and Kuzhami Baptist Church in Darogapathar took part in the event.

The event witnessed different categories of competitions including solo, duet, octet, handicraft, bible quiz and theme song.

The session speakers namely Rev. Dr. Obed Marhü, KBCA executive director, spoke on the theme ‘Kewa loh Kelhi,’ while Dr. Khrotsoloü Wetsah, associate professor of New Testament at BTC, Pfutsero, challenged the women to foster a home that lives in the light.

Principal of MIGSM, Rev. Dr. Kenny Kapfo, in the valedictory service spoke on ‘Kewa loh Kelhi – Zahtre’ (Reward of living in the Light).

The chairperson of women society from Jessami, Eyeshilu Mekrisüh, and the senior pastor of KBCC, Rev. Dr. Kezütshüloü Kapfo, delivered  greetings, while senior pastor of KCBCK, Rev. Neikko Mero, administered ‘Mapu Mesü zü Ta’ (Lord’s Supper).

Meanwhile, KBCA women ministry has expressed gratitude to the speakers, Bible study mentors, programme participants, delegates and well-wishers for their participation. It also thanked Kuzhami Baptist Church, Chümoukedima, for hosting the women convention.

KBCA women ministry further expressed gratitude to Angami Baptist Church, Chümoukedima Block IV, and GMS, Chümoukedima Block IV, for the accommodation.
