DIMAPUR — Kudecho Khamo, Advisor for Civil Administration Works Division (CAWD) and Taxes, inaugurated the main water reservoir and water supply at Chozu Basa village in Phek district on Thursday.

According to a press release, in his address, he emphasised the importance of public cooperation and support for overall development, stating that ‘the 18th Chozuba Assembly Constituency is a developmental deficit constituency’.

While stressing the importance of a new vision for societal survival and progress in this competitive world, he urged cooperation with the government led by Neiphiu Rio for all-round development.

He also advocated a positive mindset, stating that negativism and pessimism are the worst enemies of peace and unity, which, according to him, are the essence of progress and development.

Khamo, while spotlighting the government’s initiatives to empower youth through games and sports, also stressed the significance of entrepreneurship. He regarded it as a viable alternative career path for achieving success in life.

He congratulated the village for constructing the water tank and supply system and encouraged the villagers to fully utilise the various government schemes available to them.

The event also featured a briefing on the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) by Yephuyi Shijo, WATSAN (water, sanitation, and hygiene) chairman.
