KUD inducts new office bearers

Dimapur, May 20 (EMN): The Kewhimia Union Dimapur (KUD) office bearers held a meeting at its former president, Veheilie Sekhose, (IAS) retd residence, on May 20 and files were officially handed over to the new team for the tenure 2017-2020.
Addressing the meeting, former KUD president, Viheilie Sekhose congratulated the new team and wished them the best in the future endeavours of the KUD works. Pointing out good examples set by their elders who had settled in Dimapur in the earlier days, he said today the younger generation should continue to uphold the good records and march forward.
“In every system there is an authority, so KUD should be law abiding and work under the system then only others will regard us” he added.
While acknowledging the members of KUD for posing faith on the new team, the new president, K. James Vizo said the KUD’s priority will be to safeguard and promote the interest of its members’ welfare in particular and to maintain goodwill and harmony with all sections of people in general. He also appealed to all the members not to shy away but to come forward and participate in the KUD affairs in order to secure and promote the unity and co-operation amongst the members.
The new team will be headed by K.James Vizo as president, Atho Dzüvichü as vice president, Apeo Kire as general secretary, Esabel Solo as joint secretary, Mhasikhoto Phewhuo as treasurer, Kevilhouleii Suohu as statistic secretary, Sede Whuorie as food secretary, four area representatives and four advisors.
