Dimapur, Sep. 30 (EMN): Konyak Students’ Union (KSU) has urged the concerned authority to immediately appoint/ deploy adequate number of teachers at the earliest for the welfare of the student community.
An update from the union stated that a coordination meeting with the principal and vice principal of both the Government Higher Secondary Schools and Wangkhao Government College authority was held to accommodate those students who could not avail their admission due to insufficient infrastructure.
The union informed that it was able to arrange 30 desks and benches with the help received from well wishers. It added that the union handed over 10 pair of bench and desk each to the principal of both Government Higher Secondary Schools and Wangkhao Government College.
During its visit, the union found out that Government Higher Secondary School in Mon was functioning without a single Sociology PGT, while the Government Primary School (GPS) in Ukha Changkhong was functioning without a single teacher even after serving representation to the concerned authority.
