DIMAPUR — The 1992-1994 Pre-University batch of Kohima Science College organised a reunion programme on February 10 at the college auditorium with the participation of 102 members from across India and overseas.
A DIPR report stated that Dr. Lanurenla, principal of Sao Chang College, chaired the formal proceedings and extended warm welcome to her batch mates and esteemed guests including KSC principal, faculty, alumni and student body, while Rev. Dr. Ellen Konyak Jamir, associate professor at Oriental Theological Seminary, invoked blessings for the event.
It stated that “The empty chair” ceremony was led by Kevino Savino, Dean of Students’ Affairs at G Rio School, Kohima, in honouring twenty departed batch mates.
The gathering joined in singing the college anthem led by the students of Kohima Science College.
A commemorative coffee table book, encapsulating memories of their PU days, was unveiled by Dr. Temjenwabang, who praised the 1992-94 batch for their spirited reunion initiative after three decades.
Report stated KSC Alumni Association and student body extended greetings followed with a soulful solo performance by Atoho K Kiho.
Ravi Singh, a software engineer from the UK, nostalgically recounted “Down memory lane” on behalf of his batch mates, reflecting on how their college experiences had shaped their futures.
Ethungbemo Ezung delivered the vote of thanks and culminated with rendition of the reunion anthem and a closing prayer said by Keviyieno Zhasa.
