Rongphar has appealed to suffrage from the constituency to support INC candidate Rotan Engti.
Rongphar has accused Dr. Momin as a communal leader. He added that many people of Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao irrespective of communities have died demanding for implementation of Article 244 (A) of the Indian constitution. To substantiate his claim, Rongphar has accused Dr. Momin of urging the India and Assam governments to create regional council instead of an autonomous state.
Meanwhile, Rongphar appealed to the people of Bokajan to reject the policy of the communal agenda of Dr. Momin. He also appeals to all the political parties who have placed their candidates in Bokajan LA to withdraw for the sake of Karbi and Tribal people.
The joint press conference was attended by Karbi Anglong Women Justice Forum (KAWJF), Students and Youth Council (SYC), Students Youth and Justice (SYJ), Hills Progressive Youth Association (HPYA) and United Karbi Anglong Women Association (UKAWA).
