Kohima, Dec. 12 (EMN): Minister of Planning and Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs, Neiba Kronu, on Saturday inaugurated “Peak of Hope” and trekking route in Pfutsero under Phek district.
The inauguration of “Peak of Hope” marked the launching of a trekking route from Glory Peak to Chida Lake. With the inauguration, one could now avail the service and facility of Polaris, an off-road vehicle to be managed by The Kalos Society.
Kronu stressed on the need to put a concerted effort to make Pfutsero a permanent tourist destination and stated that tourism activities should be a whole year affair. He was optimistic that Pfutsero could become one of the most tourist attractions in the coming days.
Kronu further informed that a chapel would be constructed in the vicinity of “Peak of Hope” for prayer and catering purposes for the trekkers.
The function was chaired by Dingulo Khutsoh, while Rev. Dr. Neingupe Chiero pronounced dedicatory prayer.
