Dimapur, Sep. 12 (EMN): Minister of Planning and Coordination, Land Revenue, and Parliamentary Affairs, Neiba Kronu, inaugurated a park at District Hospital Phek on September 12.
In his inaugural speech, Kronu emphasised on the need to beautify hospitals besides focussing on the healthcare of patients. He stated that beauty of hospitals with clean surrounding act as a therapeutic treatment adding 20-30 percent of the patients get well by just looking at the beautiful landscape of the hospital. He said clean surrounding of hospitals mark the civilisation of the society. This was stated in a press release issued by the district media officer, Kutolu Nakro.
Kronu also expressed happiness with the hospital management society of District Hospital Phek, stating that management is important in any discipline for implementation of quality care. He assured all possible assistance for better delivery of healthcare.
Sachin Jaiswal, Deputy Commissioner, Phek, in his short speech, stated that it is not only the responsibility of nurses and doctors in managing the hospital but also of the community for better healthcare delivery. He called upon the community leaders, NGOs and youth leaders to give more efforts in improving and sustaining the hospital.
He expressed gratitude to Phek Town Baptist Church and Sohomi village for their contributions towards the construction of the hospital park.
