Dimapur, Feb. 12 (EMN): Thilixu village-based Kipi Qomi Welfare Society (KQWS) began the road safety advocacy programme on February 12 as per the MoRTH guidelines at Thilixu Baptist Church junction, Dimapur.

The programme began with an invocation prayer said by Rev. Phuhoto Chishi, followed with distribution of pamphlets to vehicle drivers in the presence of traffic police personnel.

An update from the society stated that its chairman Kughaho Khala has highlighted the schedules of the next activity plans. According to him, distribution of pamphlets would continue on February 23 at Chekiye gate junction and at Purana Bazaar Zion Hospital junction on February 26. He added that essay writing competition would be held at Hornbill School, Chekiye, and painting competition at Government High School, Thilixu. The other activities included quiz and seminar in Zunheboto district. Meanwhile, the chairman has expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, district administration, Transport department and traffic personnel.
