Dimapur, Jan. 17: Following the disassociation of Khezhakeno village from the then Kuzha/ Khezha area comprising of seven village namely Pfutseromi, Lekromi, Kami, Zapami, Lasumi, Leshemi and Khezhakeno, the remaining villages have decided to be known as ‘Kuzhatephe’ which the forefathers called themselves as ‘Kuzhami.’
President of Kuzhatephe Public Organisation (KPO) Senokhalosou and the general secretary Zekozo Mero, in a joint statement, said the so called Khezha Area Games and Sports Association, is a village organisation of Khezhakeno and not an area organisation as claimed to be. It added that the motto “Seven towards victory” is an area’s motto of seven villages and using it is a mockery to the very term of the motto by one village.
It said if they so desire to use the same motto as the Kuzhatephe Area Games & Sports Association it should be done through approval and proper channel.
To stop further misgiving and misunderstanding, it urged Khezhekeno village not to use area name and motto. It further stated that Kuzhatephe shall be used for every related reference of the area.
