Konyak Union urges GPRN/NSCN (Khango), AYO to opt for amicable resolution
DIMAPUR — The Konyak Union (KU) has expressed concern over the discord arising out of the alleged capital punishment threat issued by the GPRN/NSCN (Khango) against the proprietor of KKB Rülho and the subsequent non-cooperation resolution passed by the Angami Youth Organisation (AYO) against the GPRN/NSCN (Khango) group.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the KU noted the contractor’s involvement in infrastructure projects within Mon district and other parts of Nagaland.
While maintaining that it has always extended support to contractors operating in its region, ensuring their safety and the swift resolution of any disputes through its proactive involvement, union said it also firmly stand against any actions that hinder or stagnate developmental processes in its region.
Urging both the GPRN/NSCN (Khango) and the AYO to pursue an amicable resolution, it asserted that, “the situation should not be blown out of proportion, and we request that people or groups refrain from framing this as a tribal issue.”
Further, condemning any life-threatening actions and harassment against any individuals, it said, “the Konyak Union remains committed to facilitating a peaceful and constructive resolution to this issue”.
