Konyak Union lauds Health department’s prompt response
DIMAPUR — The Konyak Union has applauded the department of Health and Family Welfare for responding to its ‘urgent call for assistance’ in the face of an alarming rise in dengue and scrub typhus cases in the Mon district.
The union said in a press release that the immediate reinforcement of doctors, nurses, and technicians at the District Hospital Mon has been nothing short of commendable.
The union also expressed gratitude to minister P Paiwang Konyak for his prompt action and for providing the district hospital with the much-needed CBC machine as well as other crucial logistics support.
“This invaluable assistance has significantly enhanced the hospital’s capacity to diagnose and treat patients afflicted by these diseases,” read the statement.
Furthermore, the union has expressed optimism that, with the combined efforts of all stakeholders, the district will be able to overcome the current health crisis without further disease spread, and has pledged to fight the health crises and support the department in all manners possible.
