[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Konyak Students’ Union Dimapur has strongly condemned the killing of Chongma Chang and Chipong Yimchunger on February 6 and expressed pain and sadness at the conflict that had paralyzed the peaceful environment in Tuensang district.“We join the peace seeking Nagas from all walks of life in expressing our condolences to the families and friends of the victims and express our outrage at such an abhorrent ferocity committed among our own family.
We entrust our confidence in tribal leaders, student bodies and young intellectuals from both the tribes, ENSF, ENPO and ENWO who are trying their best to bring peace and understanding among the two tribes,” stated a release issued by Sangti Konyak, vice president, KSUD and appealed to individuals and organisations to continue to play an active role in shedding the light on the issue and in promoting a peaceful solution at the earliest.
