Finalists of Rev. Zotuo football trophy, men’s fellowship in orange jersey and Koinonia Prayer Centre team in blue jersey along with the Kohima town club football referees and organising committee during the Koinonia Sports Meet.

Dimapur, Jan. 3 (EMN): A seven-day Koinonia Baptist Church Sports Meet 2020-21, which commenced on December 15 on the theme “Press towards the goal” (Philippians 3:14), concluded on January 2 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.

Anupdate from the organising committee stated that the sports meet witnessed various games and sports such as Rev. Zotuo football trophy, Medotseilieü volleyball trophy, Neibalie T20 cricket trophy, penalty shoot-out, indoor games, track and field events for juniors etc.

A total of 11 teams, both men and women categories competed for the various events at Tsiesema playground, Koinonia prayer centre, TM Government High School playground, Chiephobozou indoor stadium, and Astro Turf playground of Indira Gandhi Stadium.

It stated that the Kohima town club football referees conducted the Rev. Zotuo football trophy, while the representatives of volleyball referees of Kohima district conducted the volleyball for men and women.

In the Rev. Zotuo football trophy, men’s fellowship won the first prize and the second prize was won by Koinonia Prayer Centre.

In the Medotseilieü volleyball trophy, youth fellowship won the first prize and the Nagamese fellowship won the second prize.

In Neibalie T20 cricket trophy, men’s fellowship won the first prize and the junior CYE won the second prize.

In women football, Junior CYE won the first prize, while Koinonia Prayer Centre won the second prize.

In women penalty shoot-out, Junior CYE won the first prize, while the Nagamese fellowship won the second prize.

In chess, Yavituo from men’s fellowship won the first prize, while Dziesesatuo Suokhrie from the youth fellowship won the second prize and Vizosül Sachü from the Nagamese fellowship won the third prize.
In badminton men single, Zayiehol Kin from Koinonia Prayer Centre won the first prize, while Vilakielie Kiewhuo from Junior CYE won the second prize.

In badminton women single, Vizotuonuo from Junior CYE won the first prize and Vizophrenuo from the youth fellowship won the second prize.

In carom board, Visazo from the youth fellowship won the first prize and
Seyielhoulie also from the youth fellowship won the second prize.

The most discipline team was awarded to Nagamese fellowship team, while the most supportive personnel was awarded to Diezelie from Koinonia Prayer Centre and the overall champion was awarded to men’s fellowship.

It added that cash prizes were awarded to juniors on various track and field events.

The closing function was graced by Rev. Zotuo Kiewhuo, senior pastor, who also pronounced the benediction after giving away the winning prizes and trophies.
