Koinonia Baptist Church organises evangelistic camp for men

KOHIMA — The Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC), Kohima, organised an evangelistic camp for men from October 8 to the 12th at its prayer centre in Tsiesema Basa on under the theme “He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it” (Ezekiel 18:2).

A press release from the KBC media ministry informed that the speakers were Rev. Zotuo Kiewhuo, founder and senior pastor of KBC and principal of Kohima Bible College; Medotseilieü Kiewhuo, pastor of KBC; Neibalie Kiewhuo, pastor of KBC; H Rokopra Mekro, pastor of Koinonia Prayer Centre (KPC); and Zashekho Hibo, assistant pastor of KBC.

It stated that MLA Dr. Tseilhoutuo Rhutso also attended the camp as the guest speaker.

The release stated that a total of 223 men attended the camp, who were divided into four groups namely Patience, Goodness, Peace, and Love. It stated that Patience group won the overall championship, followed by Goodness, Peace and Love.

The camp director was Lhouzakie Rutsa, with Kropayi Dawhuo and Neizokhotuo Belho as assistant camp directors. The praise and worship was led by the men’s fellowship praise team.

During the five-day camp, various topics covered included ‘Sin and its consequences,’ ‘Repentance and salvation,’ ‘Prayer,’ ‘Faith,’ ‘Temptation,’ ‘The Holy Spirit—gift, power, fruit,’ ‘Giving—tithe and offering,’ ‘Discipleship,’ ‘Economic gospel and management,’ ‘Biblical concepts on festivals,’ ‘Restoring the image of God,’ and ‘Alcohol and its consequences’ among others.

Best campers were awarded to T Tokhuvi Aye, Anglong Konyak and Pelebeituo of the Love Group; Nirmol Gogoi, Ngolhunyi Swuro and Abdul Malik of the Patience Group; Vikhotuo Sopfunuo, T Malam Phom and Khrievotuo Paunuo of the Goodness Group and Limathung Odyuo, Sanjay Bardosa and Vizotuolie Kerhuo of the Peace Group.

Additionally, the camp honoured the 70+ year campers namely KB Jumu, RS Shulenjuv, Namba Maram, Nchumbemo Tungoe and Rukhiukiu.
