Kohima traffic advisory for today

Dimapur, Dec. 2:  Kohima traffic authorities on Friday announced new road regulations to be applied at the capital on December 3, in view of the Angami Sports Association Jubilee ‘Stone Pulling Ceremony’ that has been scheduled to be conducted from 11 am to 1 pm. The ceremony, according to a press release from Kohima traffic police, would take the route from KMC Parking Lot (Old Ministers’ Hill) to ‘Y’ Junction (Phoolbari) via PHQ Point – Classic Island – PWD Junction – TCP Gate. In this connection, a traffic advisory was issued: • No vehicle(s) shall be allowed to ply on the route from KMC Parking Lot (Old Ministers’ Hill) to ‘Y’ Junction (Phoolbari) from 11 am till the end of the ceremony. • No vehicle(s) shall be allowed to be parked along the road from KMC Parking Lot (Old Ministers’ Hill) to ‘Y’ Junction (Phoolbari) from 11 am till the end of the ceremony. • Vehicle(s) coming from auxiliary roads to the NH/main road (route mentioned above) shall be restricted from plying during the ceremony. • All upward vehicle(s) coming from Dimapur and proceeding towards Imphal/Kisama shall be diverted from Para-Medical junction via – Fira junction once the caravan crosses PHQ Point. • Vehicle(s) coming from northern side and proceeding towards southern side (Kisama) shall be diverted from Census Junction – Naga Bazaar – Paramedical route once the caravan crosses PHQ Point.
